Residential Rehabilitation Services for Gambling Disorder with Complex and Co-morbid Presentation: Evaluation Report

This report provides a comprehensive evaluation of the pilot implementation of the Residential Rehabilitation Service for Gambling Disorder with Complex and Co-morbid Presentation. The service, commissioned by GambleAware, aims to enhance access to gambling harm treatment for individuals with co-morbidities, while also providing a holistic, joined-up pathway for gambling harm, substance misuse and mental health treatment.

Stigma Programme Best Practice Scoping Review

This scoping review aimed to provide an overview of best practice methods when tackling stigma in gambling and adjacent sectors. The review summarised and synthesised evidence from 44 individual papers which covered best practice for designing, setting up, delivering and evaluating anti-stigma campaigns and wider programmes in sectors including gambling, mental health, HIV and dementia.

Evaluation of the Gambling Support Service Scotland

GambleAware commissioned Kantar Public to conduct a process and impact evaluation to capture learnings
from the two-year pilot of GSS Scotland. Primary qualitative methods and secondary project data analyses were used to capture the experiences and views of those involved in the project and assess the project’s impact. This is the final evaluation report.

Primary Care Gambling Service Pilot Evaluation Report - August 2022
IFF Research

This evaluation explores the implementation journey of the Primary Care Gambling Service (PCGS), a primary care-based pilot service located in South East London for adults aged 18 or over experiencing harm from gambling. It provides early lessons about establishing and delivering a new service, and early evidence on the impact of the service on the patients it supports.

Analysis of NGTS Treatment Impact Report

GambleAware commissioned Myriad Research to conduct a Longitudinal Analysis of the Impact of Treatment from the National Gambling Treatment Service (NGTS) for Tier 3 (structured treatment) and 4 (residential) interventions. The project examines the impact of treatment on PGSI and Core10 outcome measures over the entire treatment journey.

In June 2020, GambleAware commissioned IFF Research to conduct a process and outcome evaluation of the Hub. The purpose of the evaluation was to assess the effectiveness and early outcomes of the Hub and to inform GambleAware's future commissioning decisions for a Hub approach in England and Wales.

Evaluation of the Gambling Support Service, England & Wales (GSSE&W)

The Gambling Support Service in England & Wales was delivered by local Citizens Advice offices in 12 regions across the two nations between October 2018 and March 2021. GambleAware commissioned Kantar Public to conduct an independent process and impact evaluation to capture outcomes and learnings from GSSE&W delivery and to improve the programme for future iterations, including the commissioning of a similar programme through the constitutionally distinct organisation, Citizens Advice Scotland. The evaluation report contains details of facilitators and barriers which contributed to the success and outcomes of the service. The report also identifies opportunities to aid further future success of the programme. The evaluation was conducted between July 2020 and April 2021.
