Invitation to Tender issued for Outcomes Framework and Delivery Model

GambleAware has issued a new Invitation to Tender to inform the development of an Outcomes Framework and Delivery Model for the future National Gambling Treatment Service.

London, 27 August 2021: GambleAware has issued a new Invitation to Tender for external consultancy support to inform the development of an Outcomes Framework and Delivery Model for the future National Gambling Treatment Service.

Currently the National Gambling Treatment Service provides care for around 12,000 people each year and the National Gambling Helpline fields over 40,000 calls. However, the GambleAware commissioned Treatment and Support survey revealed that more than one in three people with a gambling disorder do not have access to any treatment or support. This programme of work will inform the future design of the National Gambling Treatment Service, to address the shortfall and increase capacity to ensure more people get the help and support they need.

The overall aim of the project is to produce an Outcomes Framework and Delivery Model for the National Gambling Treatment Service, which will ensure the service is accessible, effective, desirable and evidence-based. The Framework and Model will also be produced in consultation with existing and potential providers, co-commissioners and those with lived experience of gambling harms.

GambleAware’s long term ambition is to jointly commission the National Gambling Treatment Service alongside statutory sectors in England, Scotland and Wales.  The Outcomes Framework and Delivery Model produced through this work will be relevant in each of the three nations and their differing health contexts.

More information about the programme of work and Invitation to Tender is available here. The deadline for expression of interest has been extended to 1 October 2021. And applications must be received by 12pm on Friday 8 October 2021.
